Rows, Columns, and Cells

Rows run horizontally and are numbered

Columns run vertically and are labeled with letters

Entering and Editing Data
Data is entered by clicking a cell and typing.
Editing can be done by double-clicking a cell or using the formula bar.
Basic Calculations in Excel
Formulas and Functions
Formulas start with an equals sign (=).
Examples:

Functions make calculations easier and faster.
Creating Simple Charts
Charts are used to present data visually.
